Job Duties/Qualifications: To serve as a receptionist and provide clerical services to unit staff to include transcription of physician orders, scheduling appointments for clients, arranging transportation for clients, data entry and ward support activities.Working knowledge of medical terminology and office practices and procedures. Working skill in keyboarding. Demonstrated ability to use a personal computer and word processing software, to satisfactorily complete work in a noisy environment where there are frequent interruptions, to accurately transfer information from one format to another, to organize and prioritize work, to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to perform mathematical calculations. Education: High school education with additional course work in medical terminology preferred. Clerical experience which required extensive contact with others. Experience performing clerical work in a hospital or doctor's office would be considered a plus.

Job Duties/Qualifications: Provides administrative support for staff providing pre-service and in-service education to all staff, other state employees, and the public at large as a means of supporting the organizations' overall mission of providing excellent patient care and quality customer service. Ability to effectively prioritize and organize a multi-project office. Deal effectively and communicate orally and in writing with the public and a wide range of professional and non-professional staff. Considerable knowledge of general office procedures, facility and department policies. Effectively use spreadsheets, Data Base management, word processing software, ACCESS, Power Point and presentation software. Excellent typing ability of a least 50 wpm with 3 errors. Ability to transcribe from dictaphone or dictation. Ability to manage facility Intranet site and learn new Learning Management System.
